Why is EDU offering Master of Public Policy and Leadership?
In this era of globalization and digitalization, the process of policymaking needs to be reinvented. Every aspect of a citizen’s life in a society is affected by the decisions of leaders of the corporate world and government officials. Studying public policy and leadership is now of the utmost importance when societal problems become more complex and challenging.
The key objective of this program is to help students develop ethical and effective leadership skills to formulate and implement public policy with moral standards. EDU believes that the current world requires a different kind of knowledge in understanding public policy in the context of today’s digital world. Both public and private organizations today deal with a variety of policy issues which require different kinds of solution. The world of policy is multidimensional: economists discuss the efficiency of a proposal, lawyers talk about its legal and ethical grounds, and financial analysts analyze it from an affordability point of view. The mid-level or senior managers/ policymakers remain at the core of decision making. They navigate between the diverse opinions from stakeholders to reach the best possible solution for the corporate and public world and this is where the art of leadership and science of policy come together!
